BIG BEAT FOR HOSPICE 

The Big Beat For Hospice is a unique fundraising event which will see a group of local musicians playing the drums, in unison, over three days with the aim of raising over £60,000 for Hospice Isle of Man.

The Big Beat for Hospice is a charity fundraiser taking place on Friday 31 October and finishing on Sunday 2 November at the Villa Marina Promenade Suite with the drummers playing over three days.665

The Big Beat for Hospice drummers will be demonstrating their talents with a chance to show off yours tonight. On the MANX TELECOM MAIN STAGE just after 6pm several of the organisors will show off their paradiddles and fills but with the added twist of inviting members of the public to come on stage and “have-a-go” either alongside or in a drum duel. The aim of tonights event is to raise awareness of their aims (to raise £60,000 for Hospice Isle of Man) whilst having a bit of fun. Your attendance and generosity would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to Martin at Bushys tent and Marcel Ltd at the Bay Hotel Port Erin there will be donation buckets throughout the TT fortnight where you can throw your spare change for a cause that affects far too many of us but is such an important and caring service for our loved ones.

Please welcome TENDER RAGE who are essentially 2 brothers Callum and Fraser Rowe from Castletown ably backed by Andy Frankland-Davies on drums. An up and coming young Isle of Man band playing classic rock, grunge etc Expect Metallica,A/DC,Nirvana and Green Day but with some kick-ass! These lads are playign everywhere over TT and even busking in Strand Street. They will be playing Port Erin day on Monday 2 June also. On stage from 8-9pm

Headlining the MT STAGE will be another local classic cock-rock covers band:

9 BAR GYPSIES are a Rock/Metal Cover Band who play songs from bands like Guns N Roses, Metallica, Kiss etc.
The band have formed a tight nucleus including Little Bitta Rosie frontman Ade Bruce, Dave Atkins-Lead/Rhythm Guitar, Jason Cain-Lead/Rhythm Guitar, Jimmy Lee-Bass Guitar, Mark Cain-Drums.The band hit the stage at 10pm until Midnight.

The first of the Southern acts , local covers band CAUTION RUNNERS.

Caution Runners have been a staple of the Manx pub scene for the last 5 years. During that time they’ve honed their set list, with an emphasis on energetic lively anthemic songs, designed to make people have a good time and get loose. All bases are covered with their song selections from T-Rex to Kasabian, also tackling Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, Blur, Oasis and The Strokes among many others. Caution Runners are Ben Sowrey, James Brew, Ben Watterson and Dario Leonetti.

The band take the stage at 8pm with our strict curfew of 10.30pm keeping our neighbours sweet.
