SUITABLY SATISFYING SABBATH

After a sun-blessed Saturday on Port Erin beach where FIREBALL provided 150 mins of high octane classic rock, they were gifted to feature local songstress Shelley Rourke on a couple of DC numbers which made for a memorable finale.

Meanwhile the tent/most of the South Quay of Douglas suffered an outage or perhaps HIGH VOLTAGE from LITTLE BITTA ROSIE but the last 15mins were saved/recovered by Ade Bruce singing and Andy James of BBFH backing him up.Reliable sources say they carried it off most admirably.

The Sabbath features a corker of a line up on the Manx Telecom stage.

From 6.30 we will feature last years favourites now aptly called Roc Choir but we all know them famously as A Rock Choir! Anyhow expect 40 mins of the best in anthems …..that aren’t hymns…

Just after 7 follows Nigel Williams(yes he of Star Wars Bar fame) with a great project called ZED LIST who will provide a mix of originals and tight covers.

10-Midnight brings what will now be a familiar act on the TT circuit in the form of UK ska heavyweights HEAVYBALL. Having supported KAISER CHIEFS on several tours it will be apparent quickly why you came down to see them!

On the ABSOLUTE STAGE MAD SUNDAY we will see Phil Butterworth’s new project NUCKELHEAD, a hybrid of classic Norwegian rock outfit MIGHTY THUNDERPANTZ, Phil brings a wealth of talent from the fjords and they take NO prisoners….
