Well it seems things just go from strength to strength. The tech guys sorting out weather problems
then 2 bands blowing away the crowds down at the Carole Nash Stage this last eve.
Huge shout out to Helen Morrison and Baltic States for providing an edgy alternative to our
fortnight of music. Psychoholic also managed to knock it out of the car park for another successive year.
No doubt the hard trance warm-up music played no part whatsoever in your ownership of the site.
Today we have something a little special, a little last minute and only a little bit organised.
A Bushys guerrilla gig,I’d go so far as saying a secret gig however I am duty bound to tell you
some details:
4.30-5.30pm within the main tent, completely self sufficient sound wise, we are very pleased
to be able to introduce MOONSHINERS a 3 piece project bastardised from a couple of TT
favourites Nucklehead and Mighty Thunderpantz.
Lead by virtuoso and Port Erin man
Phil Butterworth, Moonshiners hail from Norway and play a
cheeky set of classic rock, dare I say classic pap pop and some
dirty blues to seal it all in one big melting pot.Pop down and
catch a magical hour of the Norsemen of the Apocalypse.
Tonight we continue at full throttle.
Early Slot 7.30-9.30pm
Chris Winchester Band
4 piece local outfit with veteran musicians Andy James on drums,
Paul Tonks vocals and keys,Peter Dixon on bass and Chris himself taking
guitar and vocal duties. It;s MOR,it’s pop but it’s played well and you’ll
not help yourself swaying to and singing along so what’s not to like?!
Late Slot 10-11.55pm
Needing little introduction but this local band are only playing a sprinkling of shows this TT and we were able
to secure one of them.Literally festival favourites and the hardest working ska band(ok only) on the Island
brings you headliners BUNCHA SKANKERS now hitting the stage as a collective for their 11th year.
Expect the finest versions of ska/reggae played with genuine passion.
This line up is perhaps the tightest
one yet and guarantee you nearly 2hrs of solid energetic dancing.
Pace yourself but let your hair down.
Fez will be ‘de-rigeur”……..
Meanwhile fun will be had down at the COLAS BEACH STAGE
8.00-10.00pm sees local rock titans SYMBOLLIX
Tight 5 piece classic rock with no bones.A great no-frills classic rock covers band.
They’ll groove you though and every one a classic.
The beach has proved a perfect enviable venue
so heres hoping for another top sunset at the finest
venue outdoors that doesn’t have it’s own tent!
