This latest three-night residency at the Peel Centenary marked Band of Friends’ return visit to the Isle of Man, underlining just how strong the connection has become between the band, Rory Gallagher’s music and Manx audiences. What began as a special one-off has now evolved into a genuine tradition, with each visit drawing bigger crowds and deeper appreciation. Due to touring commitments, the band will only be able to fit in TWO nights for their anticipated return on 14/15th January 2027.
It adds a sense of continuity and legacy – not just Rory’s, but the band’s relationship with Peel and the Island. By the third visit, it no longer feels like a tribute passing through; it feels like a homecoming ritual for a community of fanswho know they’re going to get something authentic, heartfelt and genuinely special every time.
As with the previous visits, it will be a single 90+ minute set with no support. The Centenary Centre in Peel, has made this trio so welcome these last couple of years that it is one of the highlight’s of the BOF touring schedule.
We can’t wait to welcome Gerry McAvoy, Brendan O’ Neill and Davy Knowles back to the finest stage in the West of the Island.
