Rory Gallagher’s Original Band: A Timeless Tribute. A 3 night residency at the Centenary!
The legacy of RORY GALLAGHER remains monumental in the world of rock and blues.
Original band members Gerry McAvoy and Brendan O’Neill, played pivotal roles in Gallagher’s sound, and have their own storied contributions to the genre. McAvoy’s powerful bass lines and O’Neill’s dynamic drumming shaped many of Gallagher’s classic tracks, solidifying their places in music history.
Following in these footsteps, Isle of Man guitarist Davy Knowles has carved out his own legacy as a solo artist and with Back Door Slam, showcasing his exceptional talent. In more recent endeavours, Knowles collaborates with McAvoy and O’Neill in the project MKO, connecting the threads of Gallagher’s influence with a new generation of music.
We can expect songs from the soon to be released album MKO (17 October 2025) at the Centenary shows 6/7/8 Jan 2026 , along with an entire evening of pure unadulterated RORY GALLAGHER Blues.
