Hitting the halfway of this week’s festivities.
CAROLE NASH MAIN STAGE
Early Slot 7.30-9.30pm
Tonight is a little bit of Bushys nostalgia with the
very welcome return of
The Shedmen have been around for an awfully long time.
They first came together as a 5-piece in 92, and graced the pubs
and clubs of the Isle of Man, playing their quirky nostalgic tributes
to late 1970’s punk and new wave bands. In their time they have
murdered classics from The Clash, The Jam, The Buzzcocks,
Sex Pistols and The Damned.
They re-generated in 2005 as a 4-piece, and have been playing
regularly on the circuit ever since, re-invented themselves, not
only as a quirky nostalgic tribute 1970’s punk band, but also
covering more modern raucous material, from bands such as
Franz Ferdinand, Blink 182, Green Day and Artic Monkeys,
The Shedmen bring you along with them on a journey choc-full
of well-known cover versions, but arranged in a unique way to
maximise the live feel of fast raucous punk music played by a four piece.
They’ll play 2 hours of songs you will know, in a humorous and
self-deprecating way. They are your quintessential good time pub rock band.
The Shedmen are delighted to be part of the TT festival in 2016, and to play, once again, at Bushy’s Beer Tent.
