Band of Friends return for an unprecedented 3 night stint at the Centenary, Peel.

The band had such a blast just a mere 3 weeks ago, that they have tacked us on to their 2026 plans. Adding the extra date seems a formality. The last couple of shows sold in just 8 hours. We tried getting word out and by the time they had sold, there was a queue of keen Rory fans waiting. We did manage to accommodate a few with last minute ticket returns. We have added Waiting Lists to all 3 nights to ensure as many folk get to see them.

I was in conversation with the band that we could easily have considered the Gaiety considering the demand. Gerry, Davy and Brendan all insisted on keeping everyone within eyesight! It’s heartening to know musicians of this calibre, still believe in the magical connection with the concert-goer.

I think this photo expresses exactly why they opt for the intimate show. They get a real feel for the crowd and I feel sure the experience is mutual with the fans.

Aside from bass gremlins, the set up will remain entirely the same. Those who were lucky enough to catch a show, were treated to a classic setlist from the rich back-catalogue of Rory Gallagher. We are drafting Sound Engineer Seb Fosdal in on desk duties, ably assisted by our Centenary Lighting Engineer.

One set. No support. No interval.

Doors 7.15pm into the Theatre for 8pm promo start.

It was great to hear Gerry and Brendan’s recollections(mostly) of their times in the band and on the live circuit. Playing huge venues throughout the world. Rory’s legacy gets a new lease of life. It can’t be too understated what Davy Knowles brings to the mix. Aside from his own reverence of all things Rory. His presence and mutual respect of this long standing band members does not go unnoticed throughout their shows.

We are really pleased to bring them back.

That is not all the news.

High Fade play PSM Town Hall Sat 17 May 2025 and there are just 24 tickets left. We re unable to add a second night due to the band’s commitments. An immense amount of work went into securing this trio. They have since gone viral (in a good way!) selling out their entire UK/Irish tour just gone. They now jet off to a huge US tour which is also almost fully sold out. Word is out there. Be sure not to miss out. Local funksters Dusty Plankton will be pushing the groove as able support.

Only 10 weeks ago, we featured Tom McRae at Peel Cathedral, St Germans. It was wondrous, emotive and an absolute joy to showcase. He played over 2hours, drawing from his entire catalogue aswell as offering an informative lesson on the acoustics of church buildings. Saint Shy offered a splendid support slot battling through an early sound issue.

  1. Hi Lenny, Great to hear Davy is coming back with BOF in 2026, I wasn’t quick enough to get tickets last time so I’m hoping to be in front of the curve this time. Please reserve 3 tickets for Wednesday 7th January 2026 for me. Have a super day old chum. Very best regards, Dave.
